Course Title

The Crazy Scientist’s Club – Level 2: Hands-on Science for Young Innovators
Offered by: Bright Kids Virtual Primary School – After-School Club Program

Course Overview

The Crazy Scientist’s Club – Level 2 takes young innovators deeper into the world of science through exciting, hands-on experiments. Designed for children aged 8 to 10 years, this one-month program builds on basic science concepts and introduces new skills through inquiry-based, practical learning.

Students will discover the science behind weather by creating simple weather instruments like a barometer, thermometer, rain gauge, and anemometer. They’ll test pH levels using natural indicators to explore acids and bases and construct a simple solar oven to understand heat energy and renewable resources.

The course also includes engaging projects such as building an electromagnet with everyday materials, creating a cotton ball launcher, and writing secret messages using lemon juice as invisible ink. Kids will experiment with force and motion through a DIY basketball game and investigate the fascinating properties of liquid viscosity and magnetic attraction.

This comprehensive curriculum encourages creativity, logical thinking, teamwork, and practical problem-solving, making science both meaningful and fun.
